Paid Tutoring Position:
The Beth Ray Student Center is looking for accounting tutors for athletes. Here’s a link to the job description.

OSU Business Center:
The Auxiliaries & Activities Business Center (AABC) at Oregon State University is hiring student finance & accounting assistant employees.  Student accounting assistants help with financial document processing including scanning and entering invoices/journal vouchers/purchase orders, running reports, facilitating cash deposits for departments and student organizations, distributing manual paychecks, assisting with vault responsibilities, and completing special projects as assigned.  Student employees also assist walk-in customers and respond to phone/email inquiries in the Finance and Accounting office located in the Student Experience Center.

Please find attached the job description for the position and the application to apply.   To apply for the position, please submit a completed application with a cover letter and resume to the email address aabc.sec@oregonstate.edu OR drop off the application materials at the Student Experience Center, Suite 350 M-F between 8AM-5PM.  The type of students that we are trying to hire can come from any major, however, in the past, a majority have been business students, specifically accounting or finance majors. This position usually takes about half a year to a year to be fully trained and for students to be confident about the tasks they are performing. Therefore, the AABC-SEC is particularly looking for freshmen and sophomores to hire. But of course juniors are equally considered. I have attached the application form and the description of the position to the email. To apply for the position, a completed application with a cover letter and resume need to be sent to aabc.sec@oregonstate.edu or dropped off at the Student Experience Center, Suite 350 M-F between 8AM-5PM. The applications cannot be submitted through the OSU jobs website online.

The application deadline is Sunday, March 26th. There will be 2 info sessions hosted for students to learn more about the position and office in advance of the application deadline. The dates are Friday, March 10 at 4pm and Sunday, March 12 at 4pm at the SEC Suite 350.

Job Opportunities (full-time and internship):
1.  FULL TIME and Rotation Program
PrecisionCast Parts
We are considering hiring for a Cost Accountant/Analyst position in the next few months and I was wondering if you could recommend any students that have an interest in cost accounting, working in Milwaukie/Portland area, and maybe some work experience. If so, can you please have them send me a resume? DLeitzke@pccstructurals.com

There is also a program starting up separate from the Accounting and Finance Development Program (AFDP) called the FRP. It would be worth applying to as it is more of an Oregon focused rotation as far as I can tell.

2.  ON CAMPUS:
I work in the accounting department at one of the business centers on campus and my manager is looking for student workers for the upcoming summer. They would probably be using data warehousing software to process documents like invoices and purchasing cards and also running courier. They could work up to full-time if they aren’t taking too many summer classes and I believe it would be minimum wage. My manager asked me to let students know that we were hiring and the position will offer some good accounting experience. Resumes need to be emailed to my manager Dee.Wendler@oregonstate.edu. Thank you for your time and any help you can provide.
Respectfully,
Cade A. Windell
