The Ledger – Accounting Details for ALL students in Accounting

ATTENTION ACCOUNTING SENIORS:

ACTG 417 Advanced Accounting will not be offered Fall 2019.

If you were planning to take ACTG 417 fall 2019 and you are graduating in fall, you may substitute ACTG 428 Advanced Audit Analytics (offered Spring 2019) for ACTG 417.  If you are graduating after fall 2019, ACTG 417 is scheduled to be offered winter 2020.

Please check your MyDegrees to see if ACTG 417 is a required class for you rather than an elective choice, and ask an advisor if you have questions about this.

ACTION ITEMS:
1.  Run for the student director positions of the Beaver Store Board of Directors. Applications are open now and elections are held in April.  This is an amazing opportunity for students to have a hands-on experience with a business (nonprofit).  We review financial statements, financial issues and business events effecting the bookstore (i.e. clear bags at the sporting events).

The board meets once a month (3rd Thursday of the month – during the academic season (Sept – May)).  There are 6 students on the 10-member board.  They interact directly with the CEO/President and Controller. Go to http://osubeaverstore.com/Forms/student-director-application/ to apply.
