Networking, Leadership & Scholarship Opportunities

EY is offering virtual conference for students who are interested in our Southern California and Bay Area offices. I’ve posted the application on Handshake and submitted for approval. Below is that information and attached is a flyer with more details on the event.

In an effort to support our students as they consider various career possibilities, EY has developed the Global Perspectives Conference to introduce students to opportunities at a global professional services firm. The conference is a one-day virtual event where students are invited into the EY office to experience our culture firsthand. Students will participate in interactive learning, engage in professional development activities, network with both their peers and EY professionals, and more. We pair students with individual EY mentors who attend their respective universities and can provide support and guidance throughout their academic and career exploration journeys. The exposure students gain at the Global Perspectives Conference will allow them to grow professionally and start developing their professional networks early

 1.  PwC Florida — new Associate roles that start this July or September.  The role is “Acceleration Center” in the header.  The catch is that these positions are based in Tampa, FL so any interested candidate must be willing to relocate and physically work there.  PwC will not reimburse this relocation expense.

The opportunities fall underneath our Core Assurance (financial statement audit) and Risk Assurance (internal control and process assurance) practices.  Associates that work in our Acceleration Centers support our client service teams in various capacities but are not necessarily embedded with the client teams themselves.  For example, a Core Assurance Acceleration Center Associate may have significant focus auditing one or more financial statement line items across multiple engagements.  The same basic qualifications exist for Core Assurance (eligible to sit for CPA) while Risk Assurance will consider a bit broader profile (still typically Accounting and/or BIS), solid GPA, etc.
